Pinene

Pinene is the pine-resin monoterpene. People search pinene, alpha-pinene, beta-pinene, and pinene terpene. Pinene is the umbrella name here, then the two forms labs actually print.

Alpha-pinene is the classic pine-needle smell—sharp, green, and forest-like. Beta-pinene leans a little more herbal and woody. Both appear in conifers. Kitchen and herb lists add rosemary, basil, dill, and parsley. That is the same cool-green family of smells, not a claim that every pine-labeled jar is identical.
