Geraniol

Geraniol is a floral-rose monoterpene alcohol. If a jar reminds you of rose water, geranium leaf, or a soft citrus-floral mix, geraniol is often the word catalogs reach for. It is not linalool (louder lavender) and not limonene (straight zest).

Rose, geranium, and citronella lists are how most people first meet the name. Perfume writing uses that same rose-citrus lift. That is scent language, not a claim about the flower in the jar.

On cannabis COAs geraniol is often minor. Dessert and floral menus may mention it next to linalool. A rose or candy name on a bag does not prove geraniol is on the sheet. Two floral-named cuts can share a word and not share parents.

Geranyl acetate is the acetate cousin: related fruit-rose talk, not the same line unless the lab prints both.
