Citronellol
Citronellol is a rose-citrus alcohol. Geranium and rose oils are full of it, and citronella grass carries the related aldehyde, citronellal. The smell is rose petal with a lemon-leaf edge, cleaner than the orange-blossom of nerol.
Perfume work has used citronellol for a long time as one of the rose alcohols, next to geraniol. Geraniol is sweeter and more rosy-lime. Citronellol is the drier rose. A panel that prints both is listing two alcohols, not one oil twice.
On cannabis it is a small floral line. It does not sort a plant into a family. Read it as that rose-citrus alcohol, and use the geraniol page when the sheet says geraniol instead.
Related terpenes: Geraniol, Nerol, Linalool, Geranyl Acetate
