In this library, a family is a teaching group of related strain names that share common naming patterns, ancestors, or breeding history. It is not one plant, not a single cultivar, and not a shop filter for buying products. Families help readers compare related entries in the Strain Index and see how names cluster across records. Each family page gathers related names as a study aid, with conflict notes when sources disagree. Use the Strain Index for individual strain names, and Genetics for how lineage and hierarchy are taught across the site. This page lists the families currently documented in the library.
