Skunk lineage and family tree

Skunk #1 is a classic foundation hybrid from the late 1970s / early 1980s breeding era. It helped standardize a loud, recognizable “skunk” aroma profile that later breeders kept selecting.

Commonly published lineage describes Skunk #1 as a blend of Afghani, Colombian, and Mexican genetics. Use that as the historical teaching model; individual seed-company remakes may differ.

The Skunk line sits under many later polyhybrids. When a modern “Skunk” product only lists marketing names, mark parents Unknown.
