Isopulegol

Isopulegol is a minty, cooling monoterpene alcohol. Lemongrass, geranium, and mint oils are the plant references. The name sits next to pulegone, the sharper pennyroyal-camphor ketone. Isopulegol is the cooler alcohol of that pair.

Outside cannabis it is a known step in the industrial route from citronellal toward menthol, which is why the word shows up in mint-chemistry papers more often than on flower menus. A cannabis panel that includes it is listing a minor mint line.

A blank isopulegol row is ordinary. When it does print, read it as that cool mint alcohol, next to pulegone if both are on the sheet.

Related terpenes: Pulegone, Camphor, Borneol, Eucalyptol
