Eucalyptol
Eucalyptol is the cool mint-camphor terpene. People also search 1,8-cineole, cineole, and eucalyptol terpene. Most cannabis COAs print eucalyptol. Chemistry notes often use 1,8-cineole as the same molecule. Those strings are one search unless a lab is clearly splitting forms.
The smell is eucalyptus leaf, sharp herbal lift, and a menthol-adjacent coolness without being menthol. Menthol, pulegone, and eucalyptol get mixed on menus because they all read as mint-chest. Keep them distinct. Menthol is a different alcohol. Pulegone is a pennyroyal-camphor ketone. Eucalyptol is the eucalyptus-leaf ether.
Plant lists start with eucalyptus and continue through rosemary, bay leaf, tea tree, cardamom, and some basil talks. Fragrance, cough-drop, and cleaning formulas use the same cool snap, which is why the word feels familiar before anyone opens a cannabis panel.
On this site eucalyptol is usually a secondary line, not a headline next to myrcene or limonene. OG lemon-pine lists and some Haze pages may name it when a camphor-mint lift sits next to pine. A jar that prints eucalyptol does not prove OG Kush, Haze, or any one parent.
Neighbors on a cool-forest sheet include pinene, fenchol, camphor, borneol, and camphene. Read the whole panel. One number is one harvest, one method, one lab. Eucalyptus-leaf memory is how most people place the smell. Amounts change by cut, grow, and method.
