Delta-8 THC

Delta-8 THC is the catalog name for Δ8-tetrahydrocannabinol, an isomer of the better-known Δ9 compound people mean by THC. Chemists file both under the tetrahydrocannabinol family and then split the names by double-bond position. This page is naming literacy only. It is not a product page, not a how-to, and not a medical claim.

Retail and statute language around delta-8 has been noisy and changes by place and year. This library does not track legality and does not tell anyone how material is made. It only records that catalogs use a separate label so Δ8 is not silently folded into everyday THC talk.

Related CMS pages: THC for the Δ9 headline, THCA for the common acid form paired with Δ9 talk, and THCV for the varin relative. CBD remains the usual non-THC contrast on educational menus.

Amounts, sources, and rules vary. This site does not invent percentages or sell a result. See the index on Cannabinoids.

Menus spell Delta-8 out so it does not collapse into THC. Pair with THCA for the acid-side Δ9 story. THCV is a varin, not another Delta-8 spelling.

Reporting both isomers is a lab choice. This page invents no percentages and is not a shop listing. Hub: Cannabinoids.

Use this page to place the abbreviation on a certificate, then move to the matching major name if the panel also prints one. Two labs can disagree on whether the line appears at all. That conflict stays on the page as Unknown rather than a filled-in number. Educational reference only.
